Gig with Delain last friday

On friday the 1st of december 2006 After The Silence has been the openingact for Delain at musiccentre "De Bosuil" in Weert. Some pictures of this gig can be found at our live picturegallery.

A videoclip with our performance of the song "Weary Angels Heart" has been added to our videogallery as well.

We're very gratefull for the hospitality of "De Bosuil" and we want to thank them for the very nice dinner, the drinks, snacks and fruit in our backstageroom. We also want to thank all people from the P.A./Sounds and lights, and everyone else behind the scenes from De Bosuil, you all did a great job. And ofcourse we also want to thank Delain for giving us the opportunity to play with them.

We also want to thank the audience who gave us great respons. Several people came to us and they told us they enjoyed our music very much and we also sold a lot of cd's. It gives us a good feeling to notice that people (from several ages, from 14 years old untill people who are aged about 40/50) do like our music and did like our performance. We're very conscious of the fact that it's often very difficult to impress audience with your music when they come for the main artist of the evening in the first place, so we're very glad we reached some people somehow. We also want to thank these people for their support, because it really means a lot to us.

Health Ingrid

The gig was very exciting for us. Besides being the openingact for Delain, ATS singer Ingrid performed with very heavy pain relievers. We didn't mention something about it before on our website, but related to some bad healthy problems from the past several years, Ingrid has to deal with very heavy prolonged tonus through the whole body (also throat muscles) since about 2 months now, which is quite painfull. Fortunately there's nothing wrong with her vocal cords and there's also nothing wrong with the thyroid gland. Ingrid is officially revalidating at the moment, but we wouldn't miss the gig with Delain, so that's why we did the gig as well. That's the reason it all was extra exciting for us and we all hoped the gig would succeed as well. Although Ingrid wasn't really able to move on stage a lot last friday, we think the singing part succeeded quite well, which actually is confirmed by the cd's which were sold that evening. Ofcourse we'll comply our next gigs, but new gigs will be planned later on next year for the benefit of Ingrid's health. We hope you'll understand. Thank you very much.
